I am seeing a ton of post about #nationaladoptionday I am not sure if it is in fact today or on the Saturday before thanksgiving as the internet says, either way I thought this would be a fitting post for anyday.

Adoption: A Thank you letter

– Thank you for adopting me – 

Chosen by God for her to give me birth,
But also chosen by God for you to be my mother on earth. 

For whatever the reason she was not able to give me care,
But you have been praying for a child who’s burden you could share. 

The papers have been filled out and the money has been payed. 
We have both waited for so long, we have each prayed for this day. 

I know challenges will come as we learn to communicate with each other,
But I want to take this time to say thank you for choosing to be my father and my mother 

The course of my life will forever be changed 
Because you have chosen me , because you gave me your name.

I believe food and relationships are so vital to healing our bodies. Since being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2006 I have been on a journey to help my body feel the best it could despite what the drs said. I believe food has played a huge part of me being healed. I also believe that good, healthy relationship are so important in growing as people. It does the soul good to sit around a table and share a meal and your heart with friends. This blog is essentially that, good conversations around a table of good food.
