Story time: when I was 19 years old I went to a walk in clinic because I was having pain in my left side (near the ovary) the nurse told me I looked to be 5mths preg but they couldn’t find a heart beat. This was not the case. I was not pregnant but did look 5 mths preg.
They sent me to an actual obgyn and that dr discovered I had a large ovarian cyst (the reason I looked preg) and it needed to be removed immediately. 3 days later I was in the hospital to have a simple surgery ( the laser kind through a small incision) I woke up from surgery with a much different outcome. They were not aware of how large the cyst was. I had a c-section type surgery to remove a 10 pound cyst 😳and there was no sign of my left ovary and the fallopian tube was so stretched that it was the thing that was hurting. How the heck was nothing else hurting and just the stretching of that you ask? I have no idea😒
It took weeks and weeks to recover and I was told it could be a challenge to have babies because I now only had one ovary.
My husband remembers him and his mom having a conversation while we dating about whether or not I could have any babies and she really wanted grandkids. She questioned him wanting to marry me if I couldn’t give him babies.
I am blessed to say that 22 years later she has a home full of sweet grand babies. I can’t even imagine if Jerry had made the decisions based on how things seemed to be.
